You may think that you should just walk up to a Roulette Table and start playing without any kind of knowledge about the etiquette of the game. The most important part of roulette etiquette is knowing when to wager your bets and when to wait. For a few minutes in between the time that the dealer spins the wheel he gives players a chance to place their bets out on the table. Most of the other points of etiquette are common courtesy. You should be aware of all of your actions, be careful not to move any of the other players bets while you are near the table. Also it is not customary to lean on the table around the wheel. You don’t want the casino or other players to think that you are getting a little to close to the wheel for some specific reason. Another thing that you should know is to make sure that you shouldn’t throw your chips onto the Roulette Table because you can’t reach, there are always other people around that can help get your bets to a space that you can’t reach. Something that is probably more important than anything else to is be nice, you will get more accomplished if you don’t start to yell and scream. So if you think that there has been a mistake don’t accuse someone, first just talk to the dealer and tell him that you think a mistake has been made and he will look into it. Something that will make all dealers much more polite is to make sure that you tip them, they usually make an hourly wage that is not especially high. So it is polite to tip big after a big straight up win. You should always judge the way the dealer has interacted with you before you decide your tip amount, if you have a rude dealer most people don’t tip much. Keep in mind though that they could have been dealing with difficult players that day so give them a chance to make things right with you. Finally one that you should know is that you need to know what kind of casino you are going into. The reason for this is because you don’t want to walk into a formal dress casino wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
