Before you start to play the game of Roulette it is wise that you know some of the terms that will be used while you are playing the game. You don’t want to go into the game with no knowledge of what the people who you are playing with are talking about. Some of the most common terms that you ought to be aware of are outlined below for you.

• Ball Track- this is the outer rim of the Roulette wheel that stays stationary;
• Bankroll - total amount of money that you have to go into the casino to gamble with;
• Big Number - a number that keeps being hit more than usual. This is decided over a long term;
• Black Action - this refers to a bet that is made with a black $100 chip;
• Black Bet - this is a bet that the next number landed on will be black;
• Casino Advantage - the percentage or edge that the house has over each player, it varies from casino to casino;
• Chameleon Strategy - This is when players who have been winning consistently, continue to bet the same way hoping that their luck will continue;
• Cold Table - any table in which you or the other players have not been winning;
• Combination Bet - when a bet is placed with one or more chips on two or more numbers;
• Comps - this is when you have freebies given to you, they are usually given out for certain different levels of betting. The more money that you play the more free stuff you get from them;
• Dumping - a table that is losing money to the players (this doesn’t happen too often);
• Even Bet - this is when you bet that one of the even numbers will win with the next spin;
• Hustler - someone who is cheating at gambling;
• Layout - this is the design on the table where the bets are to be made.
• Low Bet - a bet one of the numbers 1 through 18 will hit on the next spin;
• Money Management - the way that players should use to make sure that they don’t lose to much of their money;
• Odd Bet - this is a bet that an odd number will be landed on with the next spin of the wheel;
• Parlay - this is when you double your bet after a win;
• Rating - each players status when relating to comps;
• Street Bet - a bet that you make in the hopes that one of three particular numbers will be hit on the next spin of the wheel.

Now that you know some of the basic terms of the game you will be able to go into the game with a little bit more knowledge than most of the other players at the table. This is what you need to do, when you have more information about the game it will make you have better odds of winning big, there is nothing that will guarantee that you will win, you just have to go in playing at your best, luck has a big part in every game of chance.
